*** REPLACE THIS LINE WITH YOUR DIGITAL SAMPLE *** Regarding sampling machines that are cheaper than the Emulator II, a friend of mine at a local music store mentioned that Kurweil is coming out with a $5,000 machine, but the release date is not finalized. For those of you out there that have Drum Machines that have interchangeable chips, Simmons has an EPROM Blower that allows users to do their own samples and automaticlly write the samples in EPROMS that are then inserted into the appropriate Simmons equipment, etc. I do not know if the chips can be used with a Drumtraks, Linn Drum, etc. The Simmons EPROM blower can be purchased in Chicago for around $400.00. I own an Oberheim DMX but was informed that chips that are burned by the Simmons EPROM machine will not be compatible with the DMX. I was also informed that a machine similar to the Simmons EPROM blower will be available from Oberheim within a month. Bob Neumann
