But seriously folks, does anyone know of a bagpipes patch for any synthesizer. (I don't have access to an Emulator so forget that option.) If the answer is no, then how about some info on the nature of the sound a bagpipe puts out. I have a Synergy with computer and voicing software (additive synthesis) so if someone can point me to a starting point maybe I can build the voice from scratch. Even better, if the properties of bagpipes are at all like some other instrument perhaps I could modify a voice in my existing voice library. thanx, zzzzzadco

Back when I was a Lowery organ enthusiast I used the following stops Clarinet-16', String-8', Kinura-8' I played a couple of low notes continuously to simulate the drone (an F and C together, occasionally rocking the C to a B). -Ron
