(Except perhaps the David van Tiegham piece---MTV did a bit on him on their "Cutting Edge" program (actually IRS' program), and his fascinating performance percussion piece (name forgotten) in which he uses a pair of mallets to bang on everything in sight on the New York City Streets (lampposts, ridged gratings, the ground, ...) was shown on USA Night Flight). I'd be very interested in seeing this program in some way. What was the name, and what PBS station was it originally broadcast on, so I can ask local stations about it? (I'd be willing to trade other stuff for a copy, if that's the only way to get to see it.) -- "When you believe in things that you don't understand, you'll suffer. > I'm very curious, too, having seen none of them. (Except perhaps the David > van Tiegham piece) I believe the video you are referring to is called "Ear to the Ground" produced by John Sanborn. If you call Teletronics in NYC, They could put you in touch with him. He has also done a GREAT video of Adrian Belew's (sp) "Big Electric Cat" which is on the SIGGRAPH '83 video collection. If you get the chance, D.v.T. is wonderful in performance, I especially liked the part where he deflates the Hello-Kitty beach ball full of B-B's with the nozzle 1 inch from the microphone. -- Bob Coggeshall CSNET:coggs@buffalo ARPA:coggs.buffalo@csnet-relay SUNY/Buffalo Computer Science BITNET:coggs@sunybcs UUCP:[bbncca, decvax, dual, rocksanne, watmath]!sunybcs!coggs VOICE:(716)636-3180 "Black cars look better in the shade"- Gino Vanelli
