Tangerine Dream's first lp, Electronic Meditation, from 1970 was reissued
on Virgin records in Europe somewhere recently. It features Edgar Froese,
founder of TD, Klaus Schulze, and Conrad Schnitzer, another respected
member of the "Berlin School" electronics. But you'll probably have to
ask for it to be special ordered for you. I think it may be distributed
by Performance Distributors. (see posting on Electronis, cosmic reissues)
Some passages are serene, some are dirge like, others are mindblowing
rock jams with lots of lead guitar and drums. Mood changes are very
sudden, enhancing the psychedelic effectiveness. Great artrock! Also a
paradigm space rock lp. But perhaps for the "initiated" only-- no easy
listening! quite a contrast from the rolling scoundscapes of later lps.
It is a sort of science fiction concept album about a journey through
a burning brain, with program notes included on the inner cover liner
    notes.
