Just to throw out some MIDI ideas- here are some simple ones (maybe useful, maybe not) I've thought about: 1) MIDI "echo" : Create an echo effect by feeding MIDI controls back at the keyboard, lowering the volume on each repeat. Note- NO degredation in quality & COMPLETE control over echo durations! I've fooled with this a little bit & have been quite pleased. 2) Harmonizer : A note could be read from the keyboard and its harmony fed back in- the program has to know what scale is being played in, but that's easy enough to tell it. This could be used to double bass, play in thirds, chords, etc. 3) "Mono" type sequencer simulator : Program a sequence and change it's key based on note played. I've used this sort of sequencer on some mono machines, but my Prophet 600 won't do it alone. I plan to use MIDI to enhance the basic capabilities of the machine. Okay- I'm looking for more ideas- let's get some creativity going (thanks for posting the MIDI Algorithms idea; I've got to play with that some). Elliot B. Schneider
