I was unable to get the net to help me find your address so I'm posting my reply to the net. Sorry to those who aren't interested. To: ulysses!rmp@berkley Subject: TR 707 Hi Reuben, To set the 707 at another time signature (any) you first select the scale above (4 different) by using the scale button. Then you set the last step so that you scale has the correct length for the time signature. Last step amy be set anywhere in the 16 steps available. For 3/4 I believe that you select the top scale and then set last step to 12. I'm just becoming a bit more familiar with the use of last step/scale myself. The literature claims that you can set any time signature that you would like by selecting the correct scale and setting last step appropraitely. I am not sure if this is true but so far the machine has met my needs rather well. One criticism I have is the power supply, it gets hot and is always "on" so you must unplug it if you don't wish to buy electricity all the time, true it's an insignifcant amount but the idea bothers me. I would also like to see a way to play ahead/behind the beat without having to make one measure 48 beats long, good only for slow songs as the clock isn't fast enough to strech the measures out that way. Oh well nothing's perfect. Good playing! Dave
