[net.sf-lovers] Looking for Book DBM software and ideas

ctj@msudoc.UUCP (Chris T. Johnson {msucl Systems}) (02/18/86)

I am looking for a DBM to handle all of my books. I currently have over
two thousand books and need an easy way to locate a particuler book. As
such, I am interested in any software that might exist which will help
me in this task. The software most have a 'C' interface and should run
under MS/DOS, UNIX, or CPM.

At the very least, the data base will include: author (s), title (s),
book title, characters, keywords, and brief text/blurb.

Any help will be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Sounds like what you need is organized bookshelves. How's the DBMS supposed
to know where the book is? This sounds like an opportunity to use computers
to no purpose.
