For those who have been waiting to see the KORG DW 8000! I just got off the phone with KORG USA distributers in NEW YORK a while ago and was informed the first shipments of DW8000s should be arriving in our local music stores within the next two weeks... Of course, it was originally scheduled for distribution Aug 1,,,, but well all know not to believe in them... In a previous news item i posted, "Power in NUMBERS",, I tried to spawn interest in doing a group purchase of keyboard equipment in an effort to save $$$$. Thanks for your responses! I have contacted TASCAM and KORG about becoming a distributer for their products (in an effort to advoid the music store middleman). an am awaiting their return calls in the next few days... After these conversations I plan to distribute, over the net, my findings about actual dealer cost and potential discounts you shoud be able to expect from a low overhead business. (This should be interestingi!). So far, my potential group buy has expanded to the following: one SS multi-track. two KORG DW8000s one YAMAHA DX7 one YAMAHA RX15 one OBERHEIM(sp) MATRIX-6 (is that right). one YAMAHA MT44 (4trk recorder).
