You could also try the Roland SRV-2000. About $200 more, though. Yamaha is bringing out the SBX-80, which is a less programmable unit based on the same technology as the Rev. 7 within about a month. List will be $699 or so. The Alesis does have synthesized stereo out. Actually the fake stereo stuff isn't worth bothering with anyway. Alesis is also coming out with a new model called the Midiverb.
