I think it's beautiful that friends long ago split be reunited. However, using net.nlang.india may not be the right method. Indian graduate students come from places like the IITs, ISM, BITS, IIMs, BHU, and from the many regional colleges and universities. To have all these people be reunited here is not in the best interest of net.nlang.india . I suggest that someone who is very gung-ho into maintaining lists of alumni for a particular institution, put his name on net.nlang.india along with his United States Postal Service address, net address(es), and telephone number so that he may be contacted via any of these channels and not via net.nlang.india . Only after some time has passed or a change is made as to who will main- tain a particular list, should it be repeated here. It's good to see that the BITS people have got to a good start, but let's have these BITSians find one of their own to keep a list of their people without having them 'check in' on net.nlang.india. It was never intended that BITS people "check in" on net.nlang.india. The checking in should be done by sending mail to {seismo, hplabs, decvax}!utah-cs!bits-request Note: This is the preferred contact on uucp for people who cannot easily switch to arpa/csnets. Uday Reddy
