Has anybody seen the movie "Holi" (Hindi, 1984) by Ketan Mehta? It's one of the featured films in the New Directors/New Films series at the Museum of Modern Art, New York. In previous years, this has shown some good Indian movies by directors unfamiliar to Americans (I think the two I remember are "The Rat Trap" (Malayalam, Adoor Gopalakrishnan), and "27 Down" (Hindi, Avtar Kaul), though I wouldnt bet on it). I'd appreciate any comments on "Holi". The same for Satyajit Ray's new film, "Home and the World", with Victor Banerjee.
