Some time ago, amitabha@rochester posted an article that mentioned
fares to India as low as Dfl 3400 (Dfl 3.5-3.6/US$ at that time)
(confirmed) or even, US$ 825 (unconfirmed - with Raj Travels).
Does anybody know if these fares are still current? Will appreciate
any information mailed electronically to me or posted to the net.
If there is any particularly interesting info I come across in
course of my booking ticket to India, I will post it to the net.

Those fares (unfortunately) are not current anymore. I called up the agent in Holland (he has a 800 no.). He said that he was not authorised to sell AI tickets from JFK but would sell it from London to Bombay. This deal was not very ecomnomical though. D.N.Jayasimha, U of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign
