* One of the most important policies that has been neglected by the government is the protection of minorities. As far as the constitution is concerned, a lot of provisions have been made for backward castes, but their implementation has not proved fruitful to these sections of the Indian populace. Very often, people not belonging to the protected classes have misused these provisions. I would not like to point the exact ways in which this has been done, but I guess most of us are aware that getting admissions in to schools and colleges has been greatly abused. I would like opinions from you guys regarding the ways and means by which this could be avoided. One suggestions could be a national identification number for each and every individual, something similar to the social security number in the US.** REPLACE THIS LINE WITH YOUR MESSAGE ***
