India beat Australia by 8 wickets in their second 1-day match in the Benson
& Hedges Cup Tournament. Put into bat Aus. scored 163 all out under tight
bowling by Indian seamers Kapil Dev, Roger Binny and Chetan Sharma. India
scored the runs easliy in 40 overs with Gavaskar scoring 59 and Amarnath
an unbeaten 50+.
The scores so far:
Australia 2 wins, 1 loss, 1 game rained out.
India 2 wins 1 loss.
New Zealand 2 losses, 1 rained out.
Each country plays 5 games with each of the other. The finals will be played
in February.
