I do not normally read this news group (please mail all replies) so I am not sure if this is where I should ask this question. Please forgive me if I have made an error. I have been watching quite a few TV programs about India lately and have noticed something curious. Some women wear a nose stud in the right nostril and some wear it in the left. Does where one wears it have any particular meaning? Or is it just determined by local custom? BTW, I find that Indian women's use of jewelry on areas of the body not traditionally adorned in the West (e.g. nose, toes) is very attractive and aesthetically pleasing.
