[net.nlang.india] Passage to Europe

g-bhide@gumby.UUCP (03/26/86)

Spring has arrived and can summer be far behind ? Summer time is
travelling time ( at least for us-students). We are planning to tour Europe
this summer. Can somebody (either somebody in Europe or who has been on a
similar tour previously) give us more fundas / info. / tips on the following:-

	a) Youth hostels or similar accommodation facilities.
	b) Travelling within Europe - advisable itirenary etc. (no, we aren't
asking for the solution to the travelling salesman problem !)
	c) Visa formalities and info. - how long does it take to get 'em etc.
(we're Indian citizens with F-1 visa in US)
	d) Any caveats/encouragements regarding visiting some parts of the
	   East bloc !!!???
Considering the fact that we are students, it should be patent that we'll
be on a shoestring budget. So please do not suggest the Hiltons and Sheratons.
To avoid flooding the net, mail info personally to

	g-bhide@gumby.wisc.edu
	or
	g-ganesh@gumby.wisc.edu

Since this will be of interest to a lot of people on the net, we will summarize
and broadcast any info. we glean.
Thanx in anticipation.
