[net.sources.mac] question on BinHex.Hex

Being a neophyte on this network, there is one big question I have about all of
these postings that have programs with this heading . . . 

     1.)  What in the world  is BinHex.Hex, I assume that is is a conversion
          program, but have never seen it before.
     2.)  How do I use this program?
