[net.sources.mac] Wanted: net.sources.mac archive

vishniac@wanginst.UUCP (Ephraim Vishniac) (02/28/85)

Here at wanginst, we seem not to be receiving much of what is posted
to net.sources.mac. I recently asked nsc!chuqui for a copy of BinHex
4.0, which never arrived here. I noticed that the article he forwarded
to me was numbered over 70 at his site, but we've only ever seen 34
articles in net.sources mac. Other things which have allegedly been
posted but didn't get here include DAM 1.4 and the new version of Life.

I would like to hear (via mail) from people who:
	(1) archive net.sources.mac
and (2) have received over 70 articles in it
and (3) would be willing to send me their archives.

*Do not* send me your archives unsolicited. Have pity on the network,
it's trying very hard. Instead, send me a note saying how many articles
you've received in this group. From the replies, I'll try to figure out who
is nearby (in net hops) and has a reasonably complete collection. I will
explicitly ask that person for their collection, minimizing network load
and phone bills (not to mention disk usage on the receiving end!).

Thanks everybody,

Ephraim Vishniac
