THe last is Barbara Hambly, who is also Barbara Mertz (sp?) and at least one
other name. Also, it's R. A. McAvoy.

MZB's "Lythande" stories are clearly fantasy, but unfortunately there's no
print object which collects all of them together, and they still appear
variously in Thieve's World books and in F&SF. Darkover is not nearly so
well-written, and as a series has gone on a bit too long, in my opinion.

Robin McKinley is another name I should mention. I happen to have _The Door
in the Hedge_, which is all fairy stories; I know there are others as well.

I've never been entirely convinced by John Myers Myers. I find I like the
older stuff better. _The Moon's Fire-eating Daughter_ I found to be beyond
suffering through; the Ultimate Plan which Drives Everything is obvious from
Page 1, but it reads rather like _Creatures of Light and Darkness_ as
rewritten by Spider Robinson and James Joyce in collaberation.
