Season's greetings from the Reed Academic Software Development Lab! We have prepared a little Christmas present for all of you, in the form of some interesting (we think...) applications and sources. Below, you will find a mixed bag of files, all developed here in our lab. Here is a rundown of the goods: --- Fast Plotting routines: Assembly language routines for extremely quick plotting to your Macintosh windows, MenuBar, and other, less visible, parts of memory if you aren't careful. --- IconMaker: A Rascal Application which provides total icon editing, and Creator type reconfiguring -- you'll never have to search through the DeskTop file again! --- ReadMacWrite: You may have seen the source before, but now it is an application. ReadMacWrite reads the text part of MacWrite Files, and now provides a method for saving that text to a normal text file. Great for recovering trashed MacWrite Files... --- SquirmTerm: A simple, yet sexy, terminal emulator. --- The Rascal Collision Dynamics application. There's more to this than meets the eye... Feel free to use, copy, and give away these programs to anyone who wants them -- we just ask that you pass along the appropriate help files (for IconMaker and The Rasc. Coll. Dyn. App.) to anyone you might give the applications to. Also, for your holiday entertainment, we have included, in each posting, great lines from our favorite movie! Enjoy! Richard Crandall Marianne Colgrove Josh Doenias Scott Gillespie Michael McGreevy Greg Stein (in absentia) Ann Muir Thomas and :-) PS. Some of us will be on vacation over the next couple of weeks (and hopefully you will be, too), so we may be a little slowing at responding to requests for sources, should there be any. {decvax, ucbvax, pur-ee, uw-beaver, masscomp, cbosg, aat, mit-ems, psu-cs, uoregon, orstcs, ihnp4, uf-cgrl, ssc-vax}!tektronix \ +--!reed!maclab {teneron, ogcvax, muddcs, cadic, oresoft, grpwre, / harvard, psu-cs, omen, isonvax, nsc-pdc}-------------+
