[net.sources.mac] More music!

As promised, here is yet another fun tune for the soundplay program. It
is ~40 seconds from the hit Money for Nuthin', and really a great demo of
what the MacNifty digitizer can do. A disclaimer is in order: I don't work for
MacNifty, in fact I don't even (yet) have a MacNifty Audio Digitizer, I was
just amazed at what it could do, and since the Apple rep at the developers
meeting said that these toys could be distributed (i.e., they are apparently
in the public domain) I decided to share them with everyone else.

Make sure that when you reassemble these files that you put them in the right
order, or they'll sound really strange.

There are 4 (four) parts to thise bixhex file, and when assembled, it should
be about 236Kb long. Enjoy.

Ouch. The last 300 lines of Part 4 of the posting were missing when it
reached sphinx. If anyone has a complete version of Part 4, could you mail
me a copy? Thanks.

SoundPlay, after whirring for an eternity, does Smugglers' Blues all right.
However, it immediately exits when presented with Money for Nuthin'...
(the file is 236K on the Vax, 174K(?) actual data)

Did the net spend all that money for nuthin' ? :-) ...

No, an uncorrupted version made it to U of W.

It seems that SoundPlay reads in the whole song before playing it, so if you
had a RAMdisk in memory, it might not work.
