I tried to post this before but it did'nt cross the ocean. I have the following problem: when I boot Apple's HD20scsi drive slightly below room temperature the head is not repositioned and subsequently the Mac will not find the drive. At or above roomtemperature everything is normal. I can hear the positioning of the head and the Mac will boot from the drive. After booting I had never problems. I discovered the temperature aspect because in dispair I laid my hands on the drive and that helped! Although I'm open-minded vis a vis the possibility of psi phenomena this one was too reproducable so I traced it down too the temperature. Is there anyone out there who had a similar problem?
