Re: the question I posted to net.misc recently about cleaning a crt screen with 3M Desk and Office Cleaner I just got off the phone with Sam Lambert of 3M in St. Paul who tells me that they recommend against using their Desk and Office Cleaner on glass because it leaves a residue (surfactant) on glass. It does not harm the glass in any way. He said that if I had a very dirty glass surface that it would be alright to use the Desk and Office Cleaner followed by glass cleaner. He also said that if I was satisfied with the way it worked then it won't hurt anything. I had thought that that might have been the answer, but the can said "Non-oily, Non-sticky," and I inferred that that meant that it left no residue, but I was wrong. Anyway, now you know.
