Q: What do the following have in common?
	constant variable
	distributive justice
	jumbo shrimp
	icy heat
	tax giveaway
A: They are examples of oxymorons.

Tim, after you used "tax giveaway" in an earlier posting, I had hoped
(obviously futilely) that it would not be used again.

Several months ago I presented a model that went something like this.
If someone broke into your home and took your TV set, but left your
stereo, he did not give you a stereo; he took your TV set.

If someone took 35% of your income, when he could have taken all of it,
that does not mean that he has given you the other 65%.

Taxes are not giveaways; they are takeaways!

Why is that so difficult to understand?
