I have just finish the Hack game as a normal "wizard" . It seems that the amulet is always located under a rock which is not movable!! But there always seemed to be a wand of digging around , possibly with the minotaur. A potion of object detection then allows you to find the amulet. Gavin PS Only gems and the amulet and the gold counts for points.
