[net.games.hack] Alright, how come it won't work?

darrell@sdcsvax.UUCP (Darrell Long) (04/18/85)

I grabbed HACK 1.0.2 off of the net, compiled it and when I run it
I get messages about not being able to ``link'' to a file. I think
the file was called ``safelock''. Does anyone out there know what
I did wrong (and is willing to give a suggestion without serious
flames)?

I got the same thing when I first installed it. Either you haven't
created a null file called 'perm' in /usr/games/lib/hackdir or the
directory /usr/games/lib/hackdir is not writable.
