I was playing some hack the other day and I ran into a few things that
might be of interest.
First, If you have something on that is cursed and you wish to get rid
of it for good (ring of levitation) and you do not have any scrolls of
remove curse. Drop everying and run up to your friendly nymph. Hit her
once and she will then steal an item or 2, i.e. the cursed ones you
are wearing.
Second. A use for those scrolls of fire. Put on a ring of fire resistance
(or eat a dragon) and read them with a monster next to you. The monster
will be injured (maybe even killed) and you will not be harmed.
