*** REPLACE SOME OTHER LINE WITH YOUR MESSAGE *** I was fooling around with hack, playing with the -D option, and digging with a wand of digging to see how deep I can reach. Anyway, on level 2 I fell into a shop, where someone (OK, me, but under a different name) had emptied it and then got killed, leaving a ghost. I killed the ghost, picked up some of its treasure, and then dropped my leather armor. The message I got was: You dropped a +0 leather armor. onbill: paid obj on bill? Does this mean anything? Can it be useful when playing an honest (i.e. not -D) game? While we're on the topic of strange messages, I recently got a message that went something like "Strange, this level is not as I remember it, this game is void". The game ended, and when the score was printed, it said "tricked at level xx". The bones_xx file for that level was not deleted. Deleting it cured the problem. Does this simply mean that the bones_xx file had become corrupted? The above refers to hack 1.0.2 Thanks, -- Kriton (princeton!tilt!kyrimis)

It sounds like someone deleted your saved level(s). When you went back up, it had no file to reference, so it ended. I beleive the saved levels are named after your character name, name.lv, where lv is the number of the level. Either something is wrong with your version, or the owner felt like being nasty.
