I was playing hack(1.0.1) the other day, and for the first time, I reached the maze, and found the amulet. But, it was in the lower left hand corner. I used the wand of digging to kill the walls on every side, but, of course, the outside. I found no way to budge the rock. Question: If you are fourtunate enough to find the amulet in the corner of the maze, is there any way to get it?????? PS: I don't believe that this bug exists in 1.0.2. Merry Christmas, Lewis. --

Also, a wand of polymorph to get change the rock to a gem could be used (if you want to try it in light of the fact that the amulet may be changed also). On my way back towards the nymph and my stuff, I encountered a cockatrice. Not wanting to fight it with my bare hands, I ran. Unfortunately, the passage was blocked by a boulder. I thought I was dead, but in my haste, I hit to many 'l' keys and got this message: "You try to move the boulder, but in vain --more--" "You manage to squeeze though an opening." (something like that) Anyway, if this was not just some fluke, then it could be used to get the amulet.
