Wish for a pick-axe and apply it to the boulder, turning it into an easily moved pile of rocks. By the way, here's a property of pick-axes that might either be a bug or a feature. If you stand on Elbereth, wield a pick-axe, and hit a monster, the monster attacks. But if you stand on Elbereth and apply the pick-axe to the monster, you (seem to) do just as much damage to the monster, but it doesn't attack. You can stand on Elbereth all day and wipe out all comers without taking a single hit.
