Little-known facts about rust: This armor will never rust: leather armor, studded leather armor, elven cloak, shield, pair of gloves. A rust monster will not affect armor that is -1 or lower. You can keep on your -1 helmet without fearing rusties; it won't add to your armor class but will help against falling rocks in the maze. When you read a scroll of enchant armor while confused, your armor will become rustproof ("Your %s glows silver for a moment."). If you read a scroll of destroy armor while confused, your armor will not be destroyed, but will lose its rustproofing ("Your %s glows purple for a moment.") However, armor which will never rust (listed above) will continue to never rust. You can also rustproof a weapon by reading a scroll of enchant weapon while confused. A scroll of damage weapon, read while confused, removes the rustproofing. A rustproofed weapon cannot be corroded when used against an acid blob. -=- Andrew Klossner (decvax!tektronix!orca!andrew) [UUCP] (orca!andrew.tektronix@csnet-relay) [ARPA]

[] "Does eating a dead rust monster render all your possessions rustproof? The following monsters cause special effects when eaten: @BDEFILMNWYcdknsty -=- Andrew Klossner (decvax!tektronix!orca!andrew) [UUCP] (orca!andrew.tektronix@csnet-relay) [ARPA]
