In article 933, some guy said he found a use for the ring of levitation. You don't need a ring of levitation to go over water, or a potion of levitation. If you got to level 39, I assume you have a ring of teleport control and are able to teleport at will. All you do is teleport onto the water. It must be a bug. Once you are on the water, you don't fall in, you just teleport around until you get to the side, and dig in.
