This morning I was playing a game of hack in which neither quaffing a
potion of gain level or eating a Wraith increased my experince level.
My hit points did increase, and I did get the message "You feal more
experenced". Since I tried each twice, it wasn't a one of a kind problem.
Is this a bug or a feature?

I ate many wraiths, quaffed a couple of potions of gain level, and the only thing that went up was my hit points. Are there level limits for each character? Or just a bug? Dave Fox ..!ptsfa!df

. As folks out there are noticing, the maximum character level you can reach in 1.0.3 is level 14. You get additional hit points beyond that, but the other characteristics that depend on your level are not affected. I removed both Elbereth and Orcrist from our version of 1.0.3 . I also make non-tourists below character level 10 "break" any camera they attempt to use. I would recommend any other site that is finding too many total winners to make the same modifications. Does anyone (who is less lazy than I am) have a minimal fix for putting the inventory back the way it used to be ? It's rather annoying not being able to re-arrange your pack by suitable dropping and picking up.
