DDT Black Flag Raid Borax These are a few of my favorite things.
If I'm not mistaken, I believe a flail is an evil-looking medieval weapon.
I think it's composed of a handle, with a(some) spiked-ball-and-chain(s)
on the end viz

I think the trick to using one effectively was to swing the balls around
until they gathered sufficient force, and then to transfer as much of that
force to your ( opponent | mother-in-law | Pee-Wee Herman )'s face.
