Since you can call your sword Orcrist and have it do well against Orcs,
why not have other names for swords. I was thinking that you could name your
swords and the name would become permanent. That way, you couldn't just
change the name of your sword every time you went to fight a different
monster.
The only sword names I can think of are Excalibur, Durendal, Glamdring,
and Joyeux. As far as I know, none of them had any specialty, but I am
sure people out there in netland are well-read enough to come up with some
good sword names.
Another possibility: scrolls of discount (i.e. coupons) for shops.
like "25% of on any weapon" and things things like that...
