Something strange is happening to me lately. I have a *very* good game going. I have a load full of wands and among them several wands of polymorh. Right now I'm busy trying to get me a lot of wands of wishing. Sometimes, during my game, I have to zap them empty to get me some wands which I can polymorh again. Everytime I wish for 3 diamonds and do not forget to make use of the fourth wish. But now the strange thing : In a corner of the room I'm in, I drop the diamonds to make myself lighter. Sofar I should have got about 300 diamonds !!!! Now if I save the game and later start it up again, several diamonds have disappeared !! I found this out the nigth before last. Yesterday I again dropped several diamonds on one place. When I wanted to look how many I got sofar, it appeared that again the diamonds had disappeared !! ( Sob Sob ). I didn't move off the spot and there were no Orc's on my level. So my questions are : Is this a bug or a feature ???? And if it is a feature is there a possibillity to get them back ??? -- Eric Valk - valk@ark.UUCP

I have not tested this explicitly, but I've never been able to create a rock pile larger than 255 rocks. Also I have not verified this in the code. BUT I bet you that if you stack your diamonds in piles of 255 or less you will be ok. Bill Stoll, ..!whuxlm!wws

I'm wondering if you had about 300-255 diamonds in that location when you dropped them. Tom Brown
