Does anyone have this info in the hack "data" file format? This would
mean that when you went "info armor" ( /[ ) you would get:

[	a suit of armor;
	Name AN
	|
	Shield 11	doesn't rust
	Helmet 11
	Elven cloak 11	doesn't rust
Pair of Gloves 11	doesn't rust
	|
	Leather armor 12	doesn't rust
Studded leather armor	13	doesn't rust
	Ring mail 13
	Scale mail 14
	Chain mail 15
	Splint mail 16
	Banded mail 16
	Plate mail 17

I did this for our (very old) verison of hack when the early hackhints
came out, so I am sure it is out of date. Any way we can talk the
author into including a "data.cheat" file for folks like me? Are you
	listening Andries?

The hack directory has been locked up on my system. Can someone who
has access to the hack.hints file mail me a copy? Would appreciate it
greatly. I'm playing hack v 1.0.2 if you need that. Mainly I'm
just wondering about a few things which the file might contain.

Here is a trivial hint which many probably already know.

To gain levels quickly at the start, assuming you have a Ring of Fire
Resistance and a wand of Polymorph. Wear ring and zap dog until he turns
into a dragon. (this may take awhile) Slay the dragon for instant 8th
level (assuming you were level 1). Spears and wands of cold work best
on dragons by the way. This method works for other nasty low level
monsters as well, but I've never gotten any more level than I did for
     killing the dragon.

Has any one zapped the shopkeeper with a wand (I'm not sure which one),
then it says "(name) gets angry." The shopkeeper disappears and you may
freely leave the shop and roam the level without encountering him. The
only problem is all the goodies you steal remain (unpaid) and the first
time you try to use one of these (unpaid) items you get the nasty message,
"Core Dump" which can be most annoying when you're doing well. I had
this happen to me on level 4 (version 1.0.3). I'm not even sure what wand
it was. I assume if it was a teleport I would have encountered him some
where on that level, but I searched it thoroughly before leaving.
     Any ideas??????
