Get a pick-axe into a shop (teleporting is a good method). Next, go up next to the shopkeeper. Dig into the floor, and surround him with pits. The shopkeeper will not step onto a trap, so you can now just stand back and waste him with wands or arrows. Steven Barnes ucbvax!ucscc!vger!barnes

This is too slowly, but if you have a Wand of Polymorph [and don't care for Wishing wands!] use it to kill those happy-to-steal-your-money shopkeepers and steal all his unrightful treasure. BTW.. If you kill a shopkeeper [in his normal shape] you'll lose some of your capabilities [if achieved yet] some of your hard-earned luck and your capability to actually sense other living beeings [maybe undeads!] on the level even when you're blinded.....
