Will anyone please (grovel grovel) tell me how to get scrolls of enchant weapon from a wand of wishing. When it asks me what I want I reply with "3 scrolls of enchant weapon" and get something like 3 scrolls of light. Similarly what happens when the request line goes past col 80 (which is going to happen when I ask for 3 scrolls of enchant weapon, 3 scrolls of enchant armor (armour ?? which does hack like ??) and three more scrolls of enchant armour. I assume I'm screwing up the syntax but I can't find where and trial and error with wands of wishing is extremely irritating. -- Regards Derek !seismo!mcvax!ukc!stc!dbmk1 I've heard that re-incarnation is making a come-back.

Secondly I think you want 3 scrolls of bless weapon. The "enchant" is only for armor. The baddies are damage weapon and destroy armor. Aside from all that why would you want to wish for bless weapon or enchant armor when you could simply wish for 3 +3 crysknives or +3 plate mail or if you have that how about +3 elven cloak or helmet etc. It seems from your article that this has happened to you many times ... I understand the idea of asking for a scroll properly ('bless' vs 'enchant'),
but here's one - can you ask for a scroll you've already used by asking
for what you've called it? what I mean is that suppose I had used the
scroll of bless weapon and decided to call it Foo Bar. Can I wish for

Yes- if you call a scroll of anything "a scroll called foobar", you can use a wand of wishing like so: "3 scrolls called foobar." D. The correct entry for scrolls that enhance your weapon is:
3 scrolls of enchant weapon
not "bless weapon" as previously stated by someone who I believe never
had a wand of wishing to try it with if I remember correctly
I know that what I said will work...

What are the best things to wish for when you get a wand of wishing? Can you wish for still more wands of wishing? Is this wise? Thanks Brian Russ
