[] "What are the differences between nymphs and leprechauns when eating them. Both allow you to teleport, but it seems that teleporting due to eating a nymph does not consume as much food as does a leprechaun." The effects of eating a leprechaun, a nymph, and a tengu are exactly the same. In no case does the random teleportation caused by eating such a beast use up any food. Wearing a ring of teleportation uses food, as does the ^T command. "As for your cocatrice problem, try eating an acid blob (preferably fresh). This should negate the stoning effects of the cockatrice." Right. But there is no such thing as a tainted acid blob. They stay fresh up until the moment that they disappear from age. This is the only monster for which this is true. It sort of makes sense ... an acid blob is an unlikely medium in which to grow bacteria or mold. All this is true of hack version 1.0.3. -=- Andrew Klossner (decvax!tektronix!tekecs!andrew) [UUCP] (tekecs!andrew.tektronix@csnet-relay) [ARPA]
