Dear Folk, A few weeks ago I posted an item asking for people to read the first act of a play that I am writing, titled Knot. The response to my request was extensive and I e-mailed a number of copies. However, so far no one has written me back with criticism. If you hated the piece and don't want to hurt my feelings, don't worry. It's been through a lot already, so you can't hurt my feelings if you think it's a dog. I would really like to know why you didn't like it, or why you did. A writer needs feedback to improve. Please drop me a note with your criticisms. If you requested a copy and never received one, ask again. Our site (Reed College) is not the most central of machines. However, if at first it didn't get to you, try, try again. So, write back, huh? Remembering all of the copies I sent to Purdue, I have visions of a bunch of Purdue students getting together over a few beers and laughing at my play. In case you didn't notice, it's not a comedy.
