There's a great bluegrass band in West Germany, of all places, called Kentucky Bluefield. It is made up of an Austrian (banjo), a Brit (mandolin), an Aussie (guitar), and a Yankee (bass). They have one album out which is no good, but they are great live, so if you happen to be in West Germany, see them!
