Recently the decvax!utzoo connection has not worked properly. We are working on it, and think we have it fixed. In the mean time, some mail and some news have been lost. Now that the net is getting articles asking about my whereabouts, I realize that the situation is a little worse than I thought. I have various articles in my /usr/spool/mail asking if I received so-and-so so I suppose I had better set this straight before people start using net.misc to mail to me. If you send me something which I interperet as a rude insult, you get nothing at all back from me. If you send something else, then I reply to you as soon as I read it, even if the reply is only a standard -- thank you, I will send a longer letter later when I have time-- letter. *THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO USE IN SENDING SOMETHING TO NET.MISC ASKING FOR ME -- IF WE ARE NOT GETTING MAIL WE ARENT GETTING NEWS EITHER AND IT JUST WASTES OTHER PEOPLE'S TIME* (sorry about that, but I am now getting mail telling me to tell my friends what net.misc is *not* for). So if you think that I should have received something from you, and havent received an ackowledgement of it, then it probably didnt get through, and I dont know anything about it. Now, if any of this is *really desparate* and you *just cant wait* for *any reason* -- my HOME telephone number is (416) 977-5623. (At least for this month anyway, next month it will change). If there really is an emergency out there, please try to remember that this is EST -- and I really do sleep at 0300 and will probably be *very angry* if someone tries to call just to see if I really do sleep just like any other human being.... sorry for the length... laura
