I am looking to find out if there is a recording of the Beatles tune "I've Just Seen A Face" by any bluegrass band. I know I've heard it done live by a bluegrass band, and was wondering if anyone has recorded it in that style (it suddenly started running through my mind for no apparent reason, and won't stop. So, I need to squelsh it by finding a recording of it and listening to it until I get sick of it. Am I crazy, or does this kind of thing happen to anyone else?). Please respond via mail. Thanks! -- -Eric Feigenson Usenet: {seismo, allegra, ihnp4}!uwvax!ericf Arpanet: ericf@wisc-rsch.arpa

<This one's for the line eater ((chomp, chomp))> The record you are seeking is the infamous Charles River Valley Boys recording on Elektra about 17 years ago. I know for a fact that it is long since out of print. At one time, Rounder (Roundhouse is their mailorder branch) Records had some left over copies, but that was 7 years ago. They still might have one or two. Also, you should be aware that Joe Val who played mandolin and sang tenor on the album is now quite sick and hospitalized. There is a benefit sometime this month in Hartford, Ct. to help with his expenses. Should you be unable to find the record, let me know by mail, and I'll make you a cassette.
