Try "Down Home Records" in El Cerrito, CA. They do mail orders. I'm sure
they carry some Jimmy Rodgers stuff, at least.

> Also picked up a new release by the Pentangle called "Open the Door".

Is this a new album, or did I somehow overlook this one a long time ago?

It's good to have the lyrics to "Junk Food Junkie." Since the artist who
wrote and recorded the song is not credited in either the original query or
the response, I'd like to mention that his name is Larry Groce (pronounced
"Gross"). The song actually made the ROLLING STONE ENCYCLOPEDIA OF ROCK AND
ROLL (where his name was misspelled "Croce," as in Jim) in a list of
one-time hits by artists who have never again made the pop charts. But in
the folk music world Larry Groce is not a one-shot artist, as he has made
several albums (I don't have the titles or labels on hand).

I learned this 'song' from my step mother, but I can
now only remember the one verse. Does anyone out there
	know any others?

	----

When I was walking down the street
	A billboard caught my eye
	The advertisements listed there
Would make you laugh and cry
The sign was torn and tattered from the storm the night before
The wind and rain had done its work and this is what I saw(r)...

Take your next vacation in a brand-new 'Fridgedare (sp?)
Learn to play the piano in your winter underware.
Doctors say that babies should smoke until they're three,
And old folks should take a bath in nice hot Lipton tea.

	Thanks in advance!

Last fall I went to Vienna with my trusty Mountain Dulcimer. I was
going to carry it on, and got permission from the airline, but
decided to label it with many fragile stickers and sent it below. It
arrived in fine shape. On my return trip, they promissed to carry it
on (or something like that), and then left it behind! It arrived the
next day un scathed, but my nerves were shot.
If you have a good hard case, it's probably going to be ok, but mark
it well, and make sure they don't put it aside for safe keeping, or
it may not arrive when you do!
