[net.music.folk] Are there no folk dance enthusiasts on the net?

pfeiffer@uwvax.UUCP (Phil Pfeiffer) (12/26/85)

I've been following nutnews for a year, and I'm surprised that no one's
posted a peep about folkdance-related topics. After all, many IFD groups
have more than their share of technical types, and there's always been a
healty crossover between folk music and folk dance hobbyists. There are a
number of questions that have been puzzling me that I'd be more than happy
to have answers to, e.g.,

Whatever happened to Folk Dance Underground? Why do they no longer
	respond to letters?

Does anyone have a set of dance notes for "Zaroura", or do this dance
	anymore?

... and so forth.

I heard that the fellow that was running it got tired
of doing it. He offered it sale for a nominal cost,
but nobody baught it. Too bad, it was a good, low cost
	IFD recording source.

That's a good question. Are their records still available anywhere?
I have #1 - #3. I have seen a copy of at least a #4. I sure would like
to get as many as they published.

I believe #2 was withdrawn from publication. I was only able to buy
#1 and 3, 4 & 5.
