Recently Jeff Gilette and others mentioned some good Bible reference works. Jeff also mentioned that collecting these can get to be expensive. As one who continues to fill bookcases with similar works myself, I have quite a bit invested. But most of the books mentioned can be obtained at a substantial discount from a mail order place called: Christian Book Distributors P.O. Box 3687 Peabody, MA 01961-3687 They carry a wide selection of reference books (more than you would find in most christian book stores) as well as bibles and other good books from a good variety of christian publishing houses (Eerdmans, Baker, Westminsiter, Kregel, etc.). All of it is sold at a reasonable discount (even after P&H charges). For example, The latest catalog has the new Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament (2 vol.) for half price ($19.95). The New Intl. Dict. of N.T. Theology (3 vol.) is also half price ($49.95). The Expositor's Bible Commentary (N.T. vols. 8-12) is 40% off ($64.95). I've been dealing with them for a few years now and have never had a complaint. Their service is prompt (usually about 2-3 weeks) and my books have always arrived in very good condition. -- The "resurrected", Paul Dubuc cbscc!pmd
