In fact, it is tragic that several "Americans" were unable to recognize one of the most important of the American State Papers. Good grief, what kind of History are you teaching in your schools down there? Recognizing the Constitution of Canada or any part of it is a problem that you could hardly believe. I just read the "Constitution Act - 1982" and it appends a schedule of other legislation as amended and repealed by sections from the Constitution Act - 1867 onwards. The total writing is about one complete shelf. The American State Papers volume in my library at home is a rather thin book by comparison. I am shocked and surprised that citizens of the United States fail to recognize their most famous and precious document! John Winterton.
