After Bill asked me last night if his last cheese song offended me, I thought that I should clarify my last posting. No, it didn't offend me in the least. The song, Jesus Christ Superstar, as well as the entire soundtrack means a lot to me because a) It was seeing that play in NYC that made my sister decide that she wanted to become a Christian, and b) A best friend of mine, who is now gone, and I used to listen to that soundtrack a lot together, and it brings back memories of him. That is why the song means so much to me, and that is why I bothered responding to Bill's take off on it at all. I have enjoyed the cheeses series very much and look forward to the next installment. Speaking as a Christian, I really can't see how this could be taken as offensive at all. It isn't attacking Christ, or Christianity, or at least I don't see it as doing such. In fact, I've found the cheeses series to be somewhat funny. (I especially liked the second one.) So could someone please tell me why they found it to be an attack on Christianity? I would like to know if I'm not being sensitive (or hyper-sensitive) enough, or if you've just lost your sesnse of humor. Elizabeth Purtell (Lady Godiva)
