<> Just a few notes for comparison: We receive in the Roman Church after the age of reason about 7. This is usually in the first or second grade after some period of religious instruction either in parish or religious school or ccd. Confirmation has been moved up to later age (I forgot why) I think our diocese does it around 6th grade now. I was confirmed in 2nd grade (in 1957). We normally use only one species (the host) for the communicants. It's easier and more healthy. Both species is reserved for special liturgies. E.g. when we were married my wife and I had the option of both species while we were on the altar. I declined since I was too nervous. The celebrant MUST receive under both forms. Cheers Vince
